Tendering & Procurement
Many varied benefits can arise form competitive tendering, dependent upon the nature of the works.
Benefits of competitive tendering
- competition
- improving performance
- focussing on strategic goals
- achieving best value for money
- taking advantage of innovation
We can prepare tender documentation for projects using the Form of Contract that best suit your needs (for example ICE, JCT or NEC). The tendering process helps to ensure that your scheme is competitively priced and provides you with an agreed framework for the duration of the Contract, payments, retention money and dispute resolution.
We will oversee the issue of tender documents, liaise with the tenderers on your behalf throughout the tender phase, receive tenders and undertake an analysis of the tender bids before discussing the offers with you in advance of the tender award; this simplifies the process for you.
During this phase of the project we are often engaged to discuss the project with other interested parties, such as land owners, neighbours, etc. To explain the principles of the scheme and ensure that the implications of the project are fully understood by all who may be affected.
